Ruapuna Speedway News

Entries are now open for the 2014-2015 TQ Midget Masters being run on the 20th and 21st February 2015.

Entry Form can be downloaded from HERE

(Entries Close 7th February 2014)

The Race Format will be as follows:

All competitors will be split into three or four groups (dependent on numbers) which will be seeded and

all grids done for all competitors. This is determined by Ruapuna Speedway. This information will be

provided to entrants as soon as practical following the entry closing date. Each group will race two or

three qualifying heats (dependent on three or four groups), racing each group once. Where the top

eight or six (dependent on three or four groups) points scorers from each group will progress to the

finals night.

All the above heat races will be 15 laps.

In case of a tie on points for the top qualifiers in each group the following system will be used to resolve

the matter. Whoever has the higher finishing position in any of the three heats of the two persons tied

on points, they will be given the higher ranking than the other person. If this cannot separate them then

it will be coin toss. The only exception to this will be if there is a tie for final qualifying position in each

group, where there will be a four lap run-off will be held in place of the coin toss.

All remaining competitors will be run in a repechage of 12 laps with highest points off grid one.(any tie

on points will be resolved from best placing in qualifying heats, If this cannot separate them then it will

be coin toss) The top three place getters from the repechage will transfer to complete the 27 qualifiers

for the finals.

3 Heats - All heats will be 20 laps, with three wide starts

The 27 qualifiers will then have a marble draw to determine their starting positions for the three heats.

Front, middle, back format.

Highest Points from the three finals heats will determine the winner and so on.

Any tie on points for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd will result in a 4 lap run-off.

Ruapuna Speedway reserves the right to modify or change the format if weather conditions are not

favourable, in conjunction with SNZ, to ensure the event is held in the two days allowed.
